1. Nephrology
Division and the Department of Medicine at the University of Texas
Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking two PhD research
scientists who would be interested in an academic faculty positions at
the assistant, associate, or full professor level. We are seeking
individuals with interest in pursuing research in vascular biology,
developmental biology, renal cell biology, leucocyte biology or cancer
biology. Applicants will have the opportunity to have a joint
appointment in one of the basic science departments. The applicants are
expected to establish and maintain an independent research program and
to be involved in teaching and supervising postdoctoral fellows and
graduate students.
2. The Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine, has openings for two academic nephrologists at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. We are seeking individuals with clinical skills in academic Nephrology. Duties will be tailored according to the individual's interests and qualifications and include teaching of medical students, house staff, and fellows and attending on dialysis and nephrology consult services. The Division of Nephrology has active clinical and basic research programs and there are excellent opportunities for the candidates to develop their own programs and/or participate in these programs.
3. The Nephrology Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking one masters or PhD Candidate for a research position. We are seeking an individual interested in kidney research. Applicant with knowledge in various enzymatic assays, protein purifications, gel electrophresis, Western blot analysis and different staining techniques will be preferable. Knowledge of raising antibodies will be of added benefit.
4. The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center is seeking one Masters Candidate for a Research Fellow position. We are seeking an individual interested in kidney research. Applicant with knowledge in various enzymatic assays, protein purification, gel electrophoresis, Western blot analysis and different staining techniques will be required. Expertise in tissue culture, cloning of DNA fragments, RNA isolation, Northern analysis, RT-PCR, gel mobility shift assays will be preferred. Knowledge in raising antibodies will be of added benefit.
